Can you share any long term experience with these modutiles? I wonder how they hold up in the heat and sun exposure. Also I'm curious how easy dirt accumulates underneath and if it can be easily cleaned.

A leaking valve would be visible? Do a leak test, but from what you describe a leak is very likely. That's about what I was loosing. Suspect is around the skimmer

Because of LC out of stock in Walmart I stopped by my local pinch a penny and was pretty surprised how much cheaper their LC is now compared to last time I was there in February. Their 2.5 Gallon 10.5% chlorine refill is $7.45. Will buy from them for now. The only problem is the jugs aren't easy...

I'm using a simple sun heated shower connected to a garden hose. You can get them in different sizes. More then enough to get a decent warm shower before and after the pool. Water can even get hot when the sun hits the shower well for some time.
