Yeah, I think there is at least a full tube of silicone in there. I tried with a long flathead, a long thin saw, needle nose pliers, etc.... I could not reach the end of the silicone. I was in there very very deep. I triend to pull the cable out the all manner of leverage tool and there was no...

    Anyone know what this is?

We just purchased a house with a 15 year old in ground pool. We had a salt generator installed and we had the interior redone with pebble tech, dual drains installed, the tile redone and new jandy valves installed. I noticed this old unit in the pool equipment area. It is not connected to the...

uhh oh... not good... spa light cable stuck.. and broken

thanks Lion. That is what I will do. I have re- siliconed the conduit in the nuche and have simply reinserted/ installed the old light unit. I guess when we redo the concrete deck one day we can address the spa light. Thanks much for the advice. This forum is very valuable for us newbies.

uhh oh... not good... spa light cable stuck.. and broken

does that mean I need to dig up and replace the conduit? Is it fairly easy to replace? I am guessing I will need to cut through my concrete pool deck as the spa is about 5 ft from the end of the deck. Would there be any other options? Thanks for your help on this! How unusual is this?

The spa light is probably 15 years old too. So I drain the spa and pull the light assembly out and lay it in the spa bottom. I...

uhhh.. new guys question on returns

Hi Richard, Here is a pic of the pool. I closed the valve to the spa bottom drain and the pool pump is now only pulling from the main pool drain and the skimmer. I also set the pump valves to return only to the main pool (the main pool has 2 returns) but one of the 3 spa returns is still...

uhhh.. new guys question on returns

thanks! Is it ok to close off a return by plugging it? The spa and pool have the same water level.. meaning the spa doesnt really cascade over to the pool. So if I plug up the one return on the spa it will still get circulation from the main pool

uhhh.. new guys question on returns

Hi, We just bought a house with a 20k gallon pool. It has a built in spa. There are 2 returns to the main pool and 3 returns to the spa. I have the valves set to pull from the pool's 2 bottom drains and skimmer and to return to the pool. The valves are not set to the spa at all- since I am not...
