Wire Easy Touch 8 to control Intellichlor

I'm pretty sure the power is run correctly. There is a separate power center for the IC. Electric runs from main pool control panel to the IC power center, to the IC. I just doubled checked & there are no lights on the IC (pumps not running). What did you see that makes you think the power...

Wire Easy Touch 8 to control Intellichlor

After having an IC40 installed late this summer, I finally figured out why I couldn't get it to produce enough chlorine. I was trying to control it with my Easytouch, and the installer didn't hook it up to the ET! So for now I am controlling it on the IC, but would like to figure out how to wire...

Got CYA down - what should I tackle next?

I started SLAMMING 2 days ago. But thanks.

Got CYA down - what should I tackle next?

FOUND MY ALGAE!!!!!! So in all this there was one thing I hadn't gotten around to doing yet, removing & checking behind my lights. Since it was cooler today & not much sun (I've been getting burnt) I decided to do it. The pool light had quite a bit a dirt in it, but looked ok. The I...

Got CYA down - what should I tackle next?

So my husband asked a question tonight I wasn't sure of the answer to. Could evaporation and the autofill on our pool account for the amount of FC drop (6-7 ppm) I see daily? On an unrelated note, I am feeling frustrated! I've been working so hard to get this pool in balance & we've got...

Got CYA down - what should I tackle next?

Rechecked my FC at 7:30 this am = 12.0. No sun on pool until around 10 AM. Last night's test was at 10P. Is the OLCT valid below shock level? If so, looks like I failed this one.

Got CYA down - what should I tackle next?

Yes, I passed the OLCT. FC only dropped by 0.5. I didn't really feel like I needed to SLAM, because my pool was crystal clear & my beginning FC was high, but did based on recommendations on the above referenced thread. I understand about the TA number, but I should keep it at a number that...

Got CYA down - what should I tackle next?

Over the past week, I have been getting my CYA down, then I SLAMMED (using cal-hypo to help raise my CH). Now I'm not sure what my next step should be. For full history, see Prev owner messed up pool chemistry - how many gallons where to start? Current readings: FC. 13.5 CC. 0.5 pH. 8.0+...

Prev owner messed up pool chemistry - how many gallons & where to start?

I was re-reading the SLAM instructions and am confused. What did you see that makes you say I need to SLAM?

Prev owner messed up pool chemistry - how many gallons & where to start?

I went through all the info the previous owner left yesterday. No such luck!:( The ground water level is what I am worried about, being in the Houston area. And I don't have a tarp big enough to do the tarp method. I will check my CYA level tonight or in the morning after the new water...

Prev owner messed up pool chemistry - how many gallons & where to start?

Thanks, guys. I knew it was smaller than the last pool I had, but not 8300 gallons! I drained 6" & am refilling. I will repeat daily until the CYA is reasonable.

Prev owner messed up pool chemistry - how many gallons & where to start?

Prev owner messed up pool chemistry - how many gallons & where to start? Hi all! Just moved into this house last week, have owned it for a month. Previous owner used a pool service, and we have continued it while we move in & get a handle on things. I have used BBB on my previous pools in...

    What's your pool cleaners name?

At a previous house, we had a polaris 280 our daughter named Sir Leroy Black (yes the black one) - don't know why! But when she was swimming & he touched her she'd always scream that Leroy was trying to take advantage of her (not in those words, mind you!) We just finished our pool at the new...

    Some chemistry off - recommendations?

Thanks. I knew I had read a way to get a better reading on the cya, just couldn't remember. Haven't decided whether we will winterize or not. In any case we want to keep it open until end of Oct, so it would probably be better to take care of it now. :(
