On this same topic, now that they shrunk the size of the "gallons" down to 81 oz, did that also increase the available chlorine? The labels say that 81oz is exactly the same as the full gallon. If it took 3 gallons to shock my pool, should I still just use 3 gallons at this new size?

I'm in this boat right now. I have to buy a pool cover this year, and it's only another $11 for a pillow. Going to try it and see what happens.

haha definitely not! Yeah the PSI jump coincides with the reduced flow, but it happens with a clean filter just a few seconds after turning the pump on. I have even been draining the water in the filter casing itself to ensure that there is nothing hovering in the water that could immediately...

That's what the pool store guy said, but it does it with a clean filter almost immediately sometimes so it's gotta be something else. Plus my water is crystal clear right now (has been for a few weeks). Below are results: FC: 8 CYA: 55 CH: 80 PH: 7.6 TA: 90
