You can simply spray the motor shaft area with silicon lubricant. There is an opening on the bottom side of the motor near the seal plate. Point the nozzel up in there and soak the area. This will lubricate the rubber bushing and stop any friction noise. Not a big deal really. Replacing the...

The intellicomm takes the low voltage that would normally close a relay and converts that to a pump speed. Basically, you'd disconnect the relay that powered the pump and plug in the Intellicomm connector instead. Port 1 = pool, port 2 =spa, port 3 = solar, etc. Nothing is done in software.
