    New salt water pool problems

low flow - you need more flow or less turbulent flow. If there's a bend in the pipe close to the cell, the water isn't smooth and might not push that switch in. clean cell - if it's actually new you might have incoming power issues, so check those. When cleaning, be sure to fill the cell...

Intelliflo 011018 squeaky sound on speed #2

Yeah but you don't know the volume of units sold to compare to. Use silicone to protect the rubber.

Intelliflo 011018 squeaky sound on speed #2

This is quite rare, so I wouldn't call it a design flaw. These pumps have been out over 5 years, so they are quite seasoned. Many complaints I've seen stem from a lack of knowledge. If you wanted to take the pump apart to access this item for a heavier lube, you could do that. Spraying is...

Intelliflo 011018 squeaky sound on speed #2

You can simply spray the motor shaft area with silicon lubricant. There is an opening on the bottom side of the motor near the seal plate. Point the nozzel up in there and soak the area. This will lubricate the rubber bushing and stop any friction noise. Not a big deal really. Replacing the...

Pentair "Clear-pro Technology", Sand Filter, Normal Pressure?

Re: Pentair "Clear-pro Technology", Sand Filter, Normal Pres Those numbers work out, you are just seeing raw good item numbers vs. sellable numbers. In recirculate, the valve diverter simply diverts the water from the inlet directly to the return port. I can't see what could ever go wrong...

Pentair "Clear-pro Technology", Sand Filter, Normal Pressure?

Re: Pentair "Clear-pro Technology", Sand Filter, Normal Pres I can't think of a problem with a valve that would cause this. I see you have clamp on fittings. It it possible for you to connect the pump outlet directly to the return? This would bypass the filter and valve completely.

Pentair "Clear-pro Technology", Sand Filter, Normal Pressure?

Re: Pentair "Clear-pro Technology", Sand Filter, Normal Pres I don't think the sand or laterals are your problem since your pressure is high even recirculate. Could be a lot of wasted effort. Maybe focus on finding the restriction after the pump.

Pentair "Clear-pro Technology", Sand Filter, Normal Pressure?

Re: Pentair "Clear-pro Technology", Sand Filter, Normal Pres When you shocked, did you follow the method here? pool-school/shocking_your_pool Bama, On your pool, what is the filter pressure on recirculate normally? You have a very similar system.

Pentair "Clear-pro Technology", Sand Filter, Normal Pressure?

Re: Pentair "Clear-pro Technology", Sand Filter, Normal Pres I though this all sounded familiar. A normal sand filter will let dead/alive algae right through, but a clearpro will catch it all.

Pentair "Clear-pro Technology", Sand Filter, Normal Pressure?

Re: Pentair "Clear-pro Technology", Sand Filter, Normal Pres That pressure seems high to me even in recirculate (bypassing the filter). I wonder if you have a restriction on your return side. The clear-pro system exchanges the slotted laterals in favor of laterals that are made of porous...

Intelliflo VS pump -> Aqualink RS8... Intellicomm II?

The intellicomm takes the low voltage that would normally close a relay and converts that to a pump speed. Basically, you'd disconnect the relay that powered the pump and plug in the Intellicomm connector instead. Port 1 = pool, port 2 =spa, port 3 = solar, etc. Nothing is done in software.
