I'm having my pool resurfaced (Diamond Brite). I was advised that I cant use my salt chlorinator for the first 28 days until the pH is leveled. The issue is I don't know if I can bypass my salt cell? My question is, if I just leave the cell in place with no salt in the pool do I run any risks...

There were two check valves, one on the skimmer and the spa underground right at the 90 where it cut back out to my equipment o_O? They were both locked.

I wanted to provide an update. So it ended up being a cut line @ the return end. The cut the old drain line out with a concrete saw and ended up chopping my Skimmer and Main Drain Lines. https://youtu.be/JsKAZP3kTgU

So I dug it up and see no check valve at the skimmer. The only piece I see in my setup is the ribbed pipe connecting to what appears to be the main drain.
