Hot water in 140 hot water out 110 hot water gpm unknown i personally think the hot water gpm is too low and causing an inefficiency. Also is the temp different between in and out too much? This would also suggest water moving too slowly?

The pool builder is just trying to up sell the in floor cleaning system here. Cleaning the channel will enitrely depend on the whole pool/spa design but it certainly doesnt need in floor cleaning to work. Is the channel returning to the pool or a balance tank?
