Okay thank you. A chart I saw said 100-200 sq ft. I wanted to be sure the pump would damage the filter if it was to small or be inefficient if it was too big.

I have a 24' round semi-ig pool that has been dug out. The center ring at depth of 5' and the outer ring is 4'd & 3'w. I calculate its roughly 15000-16000 gals. The existing pump only has a plate on it that states it is 1 hp. When I filled a 5 gallon bucket from the pump it took 7 sec to top...
