I replaced a perfectly good Hayward Super Pump with their Eco Star and am completely happy. The learning curve is not so bad and it delights me to see the pump running at around 400 watts at 2000 rpm instead of 2600 watts with the old pump. I do speed it up for massage jets, a small waterfall...
