Mystic White II is the filter sand I used. I put 4 bags for a total of 200 lbs and two scopes of old sand to make up for what didn't make it in. I'd guess the sand was 8 or so inches from the top.

I replaced the sand in my Hayward S-210T Sand Filter with Mystic White II pool filter sand. When I backwadhed the filter some sand came out. Is that normal?

The pool is closed. The returns are plugged and the skimmer has a gizzmo plug. The equipment has been put away.

I have a in ground pool with a vinyl liner. What water level should I maintain throughout the winter?

Thanks I didn't now it was used for a vacuum and that it should be capped when not in use. Since I'm closing the pool, should I open it to check the line? If the water level doesn't drop then I know it's good. I could then blow the line and cap it off and pour antifreeze down it?
