Okay... Tester didn't have numbers just a color match within range. When I get my tf-100 kit I'll post actual numbers. I won't have Internet until tomorrow when cable guy comes so i was just trying to get a quick tip before then. :) thanks.

I ordered my tf-100 test kit & I should soon receive it. In the meantime I purchased a basic tester. There was some alge growth. So I put a 1lb bag of shock and ran the filter all night. And I scrubbed the pool. Pool is clear & chlorine is at good level & ph is good. Parents went swimming...

Thanks so much everyone. You all are too kind. Ive already read pool school once. I figured I'd better print it out to keep it handy. Another question I forgot to mention is, how do I find out what pump and heater we have, how many gallon pool etc?
