The pool was opened a few days ago and I still have these stains. First time I’ve seen this. It won’t brush off. What kind of stain is this?

Figure it out. Had to push and hold the button on the upper left for about three seconds.

When I push the button on the upper left or upper right, it keeps defaulting back to off. Not sure why it doesn’t turn on. This may be the second time I’ve used this heater in three years. I have everything turned on, on the pentair easy touch. Thanks for your help. Dakota

Well, I’m a newer pool owner, only a few summers, so that’s why I’m asking more experienced owners.

Pool company that opens my pool tell me to backwash my system weekly. I’ve read different opinions on this.

Thanks for the questions. Triton II sand filter. Yes I have trees and empty skimmer basket a couple times a day. I do need to monitor the pressure gauge a little more.

I’ve heard several different opinions about back washing. I have a 13,000 gallon size pool. How often should I be back washing?

So when the company that opened the pool they accidentally left a screwdriver in the pool. Noticed it probably less than a week later. The salt water left this stain mark from the handle of the screwdriver. Tried a few things but was only able to get the top layer off. Asking for product...

Only our 2nd summer with a pool. The house we bought already had a pool, so I’m always learning about this system. Pentair EasyTouch with Triton II sand filter, Hayward pump and Pentair IC20. I look forward to learning more on this forum. Dakota

Thanks Jim. On my easy touch I have it scheduled from 5 AM – 12 AM every day. Last night it randomly went off at 6:30 PM. I’m just wondering if it was something with the egg timer? I’m going to watch to see if the pool shuts down around the same time tonight. I only have one schedule too.

When are you using a egg timer. I have an pentair easy touch system. I don’t have a spa, just a fountain. Do I need to use an egg timer for any reason?
