Are these additional items really necessary??

I used 2 ounces of the blue liquid product = per the instructions on the bottle. If I was supposed to add more than that, why did the instructions on the bottle not indicate that more than 2 ounces were required?

Are these additional items really necessary??

Purchased a 330 gallon Rhythm hot tub and just drained and refilled it for the first time since installation. I used 2 ounces of Ahh Some prior to the purge. I'm currently in the process of getting the FC/TA/Ph in order using a TF Test Kit and Pool Math app. I follow the Dichlor to liquid...

    CC - any concerns?

TA was 70, four days ago. And yes, the pump is running. Its on a timer for 12AM to 8AM and I’m typically adding LC around 8PM, any concerns with the pump not turning on until 4 hours after? Ok perfect, I will try an OCLT after the cover comes off. Its currently 54 degrees here in Iowa so who...

    CC - any concerns?

I believe I made my Pool Math results public, but if not, I’ve been running the following results for the last five days with a TF-Pro: FC - 4 CC - 1 pH - 6.8 CYA - 40 I’ve been targeting FC of 7 so I’ve been adding around 23oz of 12.5% LC each of these days after testing. The pool cover is...

    Liquid Chlorine Question

Ok thank you very much. When I add it to the pool and log it on the app, should I just input “Bleach Chlorine” at 7.55% instead of the defaulted 6%?

    Liquid Chlorine Question

Just bought it about a month ago? I looked for any discernible expiration date on the bottle and this is all I found:

    Liquid Chlorine Question

So I pulled the bottle of Clorox (it is NOT non-splash and also not scented, just regular liquid bleach) from the laundry room today to see what percent was listed on the bottle. It states: 7.55% Sodium Hypochlorate / 92.45% Other Ingredients Everything I read on here, along with the Pool Math...

Logging tests to Pool Math app

I unfortunately learned about the effects trichlor & dichlor have on my CYA AFTER spending some $500 on a chlorine bundle back in March. ☹️ Feeling more and more like I’m just gonna eat my losses and switch to liquid chlorine.

Logging tests to Pool Math app

I think so… I just need to keep testing and get used to it! Thanks!

Logging tests to Pool Math app

Ok thanks. I think I was just getting tripped up because it was still recommending 30 oz of Borax to raise pH (which was the same recommendation from my 5/9 test. I added the Borax around 3pm yesterday then tested around 8pm. Does it just take a while for that to mix in and impact the pH test...

Logging tests to Pool Math app

Does the Pool Math app’s recommendations “reset” with each additionally logged test result and corresponding additions? What I mean is: I logged TF-Pro results on 5/9 and tested for everything - FC/CC/pH/TA/CH & CYA. That reading recommended 3.7oz of dichlor and 30 oz Borax which I added both...

First test using TF-Pro w/Smart Stir

As I read more and more on this site, and learned more and more, I kept thinking about the frequency in which a sucker is born (me). 🤣 Maybe they’ll let me return some of it? Would I be correct that the dichlor has CYA in it as well? Or just the trichlor? Thanks so much for the welcome and...
