RPM 3450 - and no air when using main drain only. Not marbles just louder than it used to be. I can hear it switching zones from my back door and I used to have to go to the other side of the Ramada to hear the transition of zones.

I did the shaving cream and dish soap suds. No issues found with the plumb. Plus - it works fine just loud when I adjust the valve to drain only.

Jandy valve selects between drain and skimmers. the skimmers do not empty out the filter pump basket empties out like toilet and then refills with water. That is what is leading me to think maybe the plumb is creating some sort of airlock situation.
