    SLAM Success!!

That is a pretty impressive transformation. A little more details. How many gallons of chlorine? Or was it bleach? Regardless, nice!!!

How often do you test your water?

Bryan, you have the K-2006C. You have 2 oz reagents. That will last you all of this swim season, over the fall and winter season. Keep in mind to store your test kit in the house, not in a shed or garage. I, too, have the K-2006C. FC, pH and TA will definitely run out first. You can get...

Your installers may patch it. Or if you get the material you can try patching it.

Cya on Amazon (Clorox 4lbs for $16)

Sorry folks, I was way too quick to post. Lesson learned, check link before posting it and before running out the door to go to a picnic. It was a beautiful day here in Las Vegas. Allen saw that Puritech is out of stock at Amazon. So what I thought I was linking to must have been an Amazon...

Cya on Amazon (Clorox 4lbs for $16)

I shop on Amazon, however, I buy in bulk knowing that keeping stabilizer in a dry environment it doesn’t go bad. I get the Puritech 20lbs bag from Amazon. I measure out 4 lbs and have more for next time. https://a.co/d/7J07kZV

New to TFP, Dennis, long time do-it-yourselfer in Arizona.

Welcome to TFP! Pool is empty, correct? I would get a contractor to come and media blast the scale off. You can search here in TFP for other pool owners who’ve had great success media blasting off scale.

    Pool evaporation

Suggestion… Isolate your spa from the pool. If you have spillway enabled to refresh/chlorinate the spa, turn it off during this check. If the water drops in the spa with it isolated, you’ve found the leak.

    High Free Chlorine…17ppm

Welcome to TFP! This is a great site to help you. However, it’s easier when we know how you got FC 17ppm? How do you test your pool water? As asked above how do your chlorinate the pool? You have to help us help you.

$4.90 a gallon for 55 gallons. As long as you can use it up before it degrades.

Consensus on pH meter? Pen type or wifi app type

I have and use the Apera PH60. Since I run FC on the hot side, sometimes it gets over 10 ppm. In those cases I use the PH60 due to the pH drop tests are not valid over 10 ppm. Keep in mind the PH60 probe tip should be replaced approximately every 24 months. I only figured this out after I...

Pool Guy Pulled a Fast One on Pool Cover Setup

I am sorry you’ve had to go through this install issue. Unfortunately, my comment is well after the fact. I have a Cover Pools automatic cover. So, my cover is different, too. Price wise we all understand each pool’s install quote can be different. Width and length for the cover are main...

Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

Walmart in Northwest Las Vegas put out some old stock, dated 23312. They had 1 gallon bottles placed in multiple locations with that date. But on a second row, on one end cap they stacked 6 pack boxes dated 24023. I moved the singles out of the way and bought the box at $5.67 each.

    IntelliValve Upgrade Update

Nice job, MyAZPool. Interesting thread. Can’t wait to read more. I have a couple of more intellivalves I’d like to install when the swim season gets closer.
