Well I appreciate that and it makes sense. There is a leak from just above which obviously definitely was a concern and damaged it. Thank you for the explanation! So I will obviously have that repaired when I swap out the motor. Any suggestions or preferences on what to move to?

I wasn't questioning your background or your opinion, I just wanted to know how you knew. The motor is rebuilt from about 6 years ago. So given what you say, what would you do? Thank you for your feedback.

Hi. I am going to try to see if the capacitator is my issue on our 1.5 Super Pump. If not and I have to swap out I will look to purchase a VSP since from all I read it is more economical. Right now our SWG and Pump go on at the same time when the pump kicks on via our digital intermatic timer...

I have the same issue where mine humms and will trip. Called pool store I used and they said it could be from all the wet weather and to let it dry out for a day or two. Hoping that's the issue.
