What Size Pump for Hayward DE Filter?

Re: What Size Pump for Hayward DA Filter? Fixed it! Thanks. So the 1.5HP on low won't be too much (not for the filter but for the pool itself? I don't want there to be so much circulation that stuff flies on by the skimmer.

What Size Pump for Hayward DE Filter?

I have a line on a used Hayward DE3620 (DE Filter) for my 18' Intex Ultra Frame and need recommendations on pump size. I am looking at the Hayward Powerflow Matrix 2 speed(2 speed required in Commiefornia). I don't really have much use for a 2 speed since my Hayward 900 does all of the work for...

Above Ground Pool Filter Issues - Advice Needed

Yes I have a skimmer and have been using the skimmer socks for about 4 months or so now. I have also tried adding a little DE but can't add very much as my pressure will increase too much. Looks like I will need to consider a new pump/filter.

Above Ground Pool Filter Issues - Advice Needed

Actually last week I took apart the pump and checked the impeller but didn't find any blockage. As PV2 mentioned, perhaps the pump is just wearing out. But after only 1 year? At this point I am more concerned with the systems apparent inability to deal with the high pollen levels. Will a...

Above Ground Pool Filter Issues - Advice Needed

This is our second season with our 18' Intex Ultra Frame setup (see signature). For some reason the flow from the filter has been reduced during the last 4-6 months. No issues during the winter - chemical levels have been good, water clear etc. I even did a deep cleaning of the sand a few...

    Finally Finished (almost)!

I just wanted to share the finished product. It took a lot of work but we are finally finished - just have to add the 2x6 cap around the octagon retaining wall. Level was out by about 5.5". Considering our small backyard, I decided to go with the wood retaining wall and fill with compacted...

How to Cap Off Intex Suction Outlet for Hayward Skimmer

I have an Intex 18 x 52 with the dual suction outlet configuration. I have purchased a Hayward skimmer and would like to use one of the two suction outlets for the skimmer. I do not want to hard plumb at this time as the pool was just put up and we still have a lot of landscaping and such to...

Confer Plastics 7200 Ladder - How Far Does it Sit Outside of Pool?

I will be building a border around my 18' round Index pool soon and space is limited. I plan to eventually upgrade to the Confer Plastics A-Frame 7200 ladder and want to make sure I allow enough room for it to sit outside of the pool and still be within the boarder. Can anyone with this...

    Intex Leveling Help

Thanks for the reply. Regarding taking it down, our kids are in sports year round and we don't really want to lose a third of the backyard for the entire year. They use the backyard all winter to practice their soccer. Plus don't really want to worry about maintaining it during the winter...

    Intex Leveling Help

Thanks for the reply. My thought was to make a small retaining wall using some pressure treated wood (6x6 or 4x6). Drill holes in the lumber and insert 3-4 foot pieces of rebar.
