Where is my FC going if the CC isn't on the rise? Are the high levels of the SLAM keeping the chlorimates down?

Hi. Just quickly scanned through this thread. I have one question for you. Before you drained your pool, why didn't someone suggest that you plug your returns, put a drain hose on your pump, hook your vacuum up and suck out all the green algae on the bottom of your pool first? Dumping fresh water on a blanket of algae or stirring it up with a brush is counter productive. Just a question. It would have made your process much easier and less time consuming.
