Jeff is the man! Like he mentioned, I hooked up the eyelid on return and what an instant difference. My pool water is now circulating around the pool and back to the intake. Instantly small debris got stirred up, and the pressure of the water coming out of the eyelid is like 10 times as strong as it was! I have a container full of parts and pieces and it just takes Jeff asking questions for me to find what I need to help!

These AGPs (mine included) are known for poor circulation. the intake is 2' max from the return. What I've done in the past is to hook up my vac hose & manual vacuum head and put it ion the other side of the pool across from the skimmer. That will suck the water from all the way across the pool from the return and may help. But in the end, it is the filter that has to work it's magic. Let the filters run more between changing them. These filters are large for the pool size and they can handle some buildup. I have a 175sqft filter and my pressure never changes all season. Granted I'm not clearing a green mess, but let them filter.

Darn good point! I keep my Intex robot going all the time, and since it attaches to the return it is like having a roving return that keeps the water moving.

Ok...so I am on day 7 of my SLAM. Jeff aka "jeffchap" asked me to post a few pictures of my pool today. Here are the pictures, the process has been moving along very slowly. I have been brushing daily and lastnight had my two boys go into the pool and give it another really good brushing. I have also vacuumed to waste during the process and added a few inches of water after that. Currently I have a vacuum hooked up in the middle of the pool instead of using the skimmer. There can't be debris left in the bottom, as nothing is getting stirred up during brushing or when my boys were in there yesterday. I bumped my FC level up from 12 to 15 about 3 days ago as well. Jeff and I wanted to post a few pics of where I am today and see what others may think/say.... The pictures with the pole in the water are from today under cloudy skies. The other two pictures are from day 1 under sunny skies

It's definitely lighter! SLAM Process isn't an overnight process, but you'll get there!

What are today's test results?
 
Day 7 of the SLAM, but only day 4 since the circulation problem was fixed, right?

How has chlorine consumption rate been?

I can’t remember if this has been discussed before in your thread... have you ruled out metals in your water?
 
YAY! I’m assuming child on pool noodle is the latest pic? Looks like he is having a blast!
