If you can keep the power supply out of the rain while using it then go ahead and use it. If the power supply can not be kept dry then I would not expose it to the rain.

super cool...
so I will RIG a cover (with breathing room) to allow my unit to run in the rain...which of course it is doing in my first day of Robot Ownership.
Oh, on a side note, our son named the Robot Mr. Button
What are the dimensions of the Dolphin Z5 when on the caddy? Trying to figure out which Suncast outdoor storage box would be sized appropriately. Thanks.

Wow, old thread. My Dolphin pretty much lives in the pool. Not sure if I would recommend that though, since when new, it never got stuck on the drains, and now it does. Less than one year old. But I ALWAYS keep the base and power supply out of the sun.
Built a small storage shed to keep out of the weather when not in use. Also serves as water testing table.
Really like this cabinet style enclosure. Are there any Suncast or Lifetime deck storage boxes with locking cabinet doors like this?
