Thanks to everyone's help in getting our pool balanced at the start of the year, our water balance is in excellent shape. Now, we need to add about an inch, but we're on a well and last year when we did filled from the well the water turned green from minerals. We're at a point where we need to add about an inch (17,000 gallons, fiberglass, in-ground, salt system). The local water trucks will only come if they can dump a full 6000 gallon load, so we're wondering how best to handle filling from the well as an alternative. We have a filter to put on the hose, and that helped a little, but we still ended up with green water. Not much rain in the forecast... maybe half an inch late next week, but we'll likely evaporate a lot more before then.
