Waterline Tile Repair on edge of Pebble Finish

Hi all -

I've had two waterline tiles break off right by my pool's beach entry. My question is about removing the two tile fragments that butt up against the pebble bottom of the beach entry. Can I just gently chip those tiles off without damaging the pebble finish? Is the pebble finish adhered to the tile? Or will it break off cleanly? Any other considerations and advice before I have at it?

Thanks, all!

Impossible to say how clean you can get that piece out.

You can use a grout blade in an oscillating tool to score the plaster along the tile to create a straight crack line.

You will end up needing to patch the tile to pebble joint with grout or pool plaster.

Thanks so much for your insight! I love the idea of scoring the plaster with an oscillating saw. I'll definitely be doing that.
