Hi all-
I recently purchased a house that has a pool and spa in the back yard. There's a waterfall feature between the spa and the pool.
There's an Aqualink control panel with a bunch of buttons. One of the buttons is "Waterfall" and another is "Spa Fill".
Waterfall activates the main filter pump and a booster pump to create a nice high-water-volume waterfall effect. Both pumps are in use.
Spa Fill, on the other hand, seems to create the exact same high-water-volume waterfall effect but does it with only 1 pump. It seems to achieve this by actuating a valve that sends all of the return water to the spa instead of splitting it between the pool and the spa.
Here's my question: what's the point of the booster pump and the waterfall feature if the Spa Fill mode has the same effect but without the booster pump? Was this just a poor design choice, or is there something I'm missing?
