Used hot tub first steps

Hi All - I am getting a gently used hot tub today - Jacuzzi J-355. I understand pretty well how to maintain the chemistry, main question is when I get the spa what is the first thing I should do? Should I fill it, use ahhsome, then drain and refill? Also any tips on cleaning solutions to use to give the cover a good clean?

Ahhsome purge. Maybe more then once depending on how much crud you get.

Thanks - do i need to balance anything before the purge or just fill it up with hose water and do it?

Purge first before any chemicals are added.
