Hello I just recently bought a 30 year old home with a 30 year old pool. I don’t know what updates the previous owner (one owner ) however I think the plumbing needs updating. I want to convert the system into salt water with a circupool core 35 chlorinator with a flow vis and a pool defender sacrificial anode. The pump is a single speed 2.25 Hp filtered by a sand filter. The tubing is 1 1/2 and the pool hold 15,000 gallons. The area were the pool vacuum connects does not have a closing valve but the slimmer and deep end fair do. Any suggestion? The pump connections are 2 inch

You have lots of space on that vertical section after the filter. I am fairly certain the circupool core 35 can be plumbed in vertically. Was that all you were asking about?

+1 on the space, no need to spend on sacrificial anode, you might consider a Variable Speed pump. I would also add valves on the return side since you are installing the SWG.
