Going to stay with the Sapphire Quartz we initially picked out, all the non-pool expenses like landscaping, furniture, etc. are pilling up quickly so we are under a tight budget!
Ran into a snag, when ready for plaster PB found a leak in one of the return lines, under the concrete deck of course! The plumbers were out today to fix it and had to tunnel under the deck but they found the leak and repaired it. I'll post some pictures soon.
They were there about 6 hours, the truck just pulls up in the driveway and they pump the plaster in the pool and trowel it on, the guys were very neat and did not leave any mess, pool is 1/2 full now!
Pool was plastered last week (4/23) and took 2 days to fill, got PB Pool School on 4/27 and I'm off and running, went with modified bicarb startup to minimize plaster dust and get the best possible finish. Everything seems to be working out well.
Here are a few pics, I'll get some better ones later today when the full sun is out.
