Hi all, i am thinking of turning off a waterfall feature in the cooler months to reduce heat loss especially since i will be using a heat pump running round the clock. My question is this. Given that water in the pipe will stagnate, is there a recommended frequency to run it now and then to keep the pipe from becoming a germ and bug magnet? My other option would be to keep a tiny flow ongoing.

I would trying running water through that feature for about 30 min to an hour a day. See if that works for you.

I think running water through the pipe for 5 to 10 minutes should be sufficient to clear it.
I have my system programmed to run my spa jets and blower for 3 minutes every day to clear the lines.
