Trouble with SLAM’ing

So my pool went green so I immediately started the SLAM process. I dumped 3 bottles of shock in last night and this morning it looks a lot better. I got 24 for the FC this morning at 6am and when I got home at 3pm these are the readings I’m getting:
Ph 7.2
FC 14.5
Cc 0
TA 110
CH 80
Cya 50
While it looks better, it’s extremely cloudy. I can barely see my vacuum brush on the bottom. The paper filter wasn’t hardly dirty at all. I vacuum again but I can’t tell if I’m getting everything because of the cloudiness. What am I doing wrong?

You have a life. It’s ok we all do. :) 9 hour testing/adding will greatly slow the process. The M in SLAM is for Maintain. You need to keep the FC at SLAM level and anytime below will still be helping, but take longer. I would do the best you can until the weekend and plan to hit it hard and often on Saturday. Brush/Vac and test/add as much as your schedule allows.

I don’t know why these posts always come on a Monday but they always all seem to. I wish it was Friday for you and you only had to get to tomorrow.

Unfortunately we will be out of town from Thursday-Monday, so i'm need to have it stabilzed before we leave.

I dumped about half gallon in last evening and i checked again at 6am and i only had a FC loss of 1-2. I'll check again when i get home in a little bit, but as of this morning it was still cloudy. With that little of a FC loss overnight...shouldn't the water be clearing up by now?
