Transporting acid & chlorine across deck... preferences?

Curious what techniques everyone uses to transport acid & chlorine across deck to not stain from rouge drips when adding to pool.

Is there preferred buckets that are used to transport back and forth with gal jug inside?

Trying to find a sturdy bucket method of some sort to keep the gallon jug carrying across concrete deck

Dip the jug in the pool water after adding. Takes care of any drips on the jug.

Kneel down by the water outlet so it won't splash, then as suggested, cap it and plunge the bottle in the water and you are good to go.
If you have a case of gallons to schlep, use a hand truck.
