Top Diffuser Install Question

Is a top diffuser glued onto the top elbow pipe or does it just sit on it loosely? The diffuser is the older Hayward SX200L. The filter is the Hayward S240.

It looks like it just sits in place lined up with the key and keyway notch.

I don't think it glues.

It might snap in place.

You have to put the air tube through the hole.

Is yours loose or glued?

This is from the manual where it describes removing and replacing the top diffuser with no mention of glue, so no glue required.

4. Loading sand media. Filter sand media is loaded through the top opening of the filter.

a. Remove the access dome and the top diffuser from the internal diffuser elbow pipe and place flexible, automatic air relief tube to the side, out of the way, inside the tank.

f. Replace diffuser on internal diffuser elbow pipe, positioning automatic air relief tube through the hole provided in the diffuser.

No glue or they couldn't sell it separately.
