I have an old sand dollar sand filter and Pentair pump on my pool. (Not sure what size ) it seems to be doing fine but it’s old and runs 24/7 I’m thinking about going to a two speed or a vs What brand would you recamend. I think I want to stay with a sand filter.

Most of the more knowledgeable folks on this site prefer Pentair/Sta-Rite pumps and vs pumps over 2 speed.

I replaced my pentair single speed pump with a two speed ecopump. I would recommend a two speed. I am saving money on my utility bill.
Sorry I missed this. Well I ran 24/7 because I was lazy I guess lol. Plus I leave for work at 4am and don’t get till around 9pm. By then I’m tired
But my timer came in yesterday and got it installed. So now only runs about 6 hours a day.
