TFPC Recommended level vs manufacturer level

Old, very old, fiberglass shells had calcium in them.

Do what makes you happy. I just point out chemistry.

Oh I'm not arguing, I'm trying to understand. I just read the pool school, ABC Chemistry and everything since we get pointed to read that. So I'm trying to understand, if there's something wrong in the ABC or the app, maybe it should be fixed?

The ABC and app relates to a wide range of conditions. With a fiberglass pool, you have a unique item in the water line tile. It is normally grouted with cementatious grout. You also have old shells that had calcium in them prior to certain environmental changes in the manufacturing process. So it errs on the need for some calcium in the pool water.
Your water has some calcium in it.

Yeah I guess there's multiple type of fiberglass pool. Mine is all fiberglass, there's no tile anywhere. In fact, all fiberglass sold here are like that.
