I’m trying to test my FC level with the kit and when I add in r-0870 it turns the water pink like it should. So I move on to adding the 0871 and after about 5 drops the water turns clear so I assume I’m at a FC of 1 (using 25ml sample). But after a couple seconds the water will turn pink again. Is this normal and I should keep counting or is the test going wrong?

Once the sample turns to clear, the test is complete. Dispose of it or move immediately to the CC test.
If you leave the sample at the end of either test to sit, they will turn pink again. Ignore that.
Use a 10ml water sample for testing. One scoop of powder, Each drop to clear is 0.5ppm FC.
