Tabs vs CYA increase

Just some approximate numbers.

My CYA was measured by self 2 wks ago as I opened the pool at about 20. Maybe even a tad less as I could still barely view the dot.
It's been two weeks and I spent 12 chlorine tabs (typically takes 5 days to fully dissolve them in the skimmers, I put them in during weekends, 3 per basket).
Today in the morning I masured and it is 27-30 and I no longer see the dot.
So app. 5ppm/week, 6 tabs, or loosely 1ppm/tab.

sorry i dont think it works that way there is too much room for error in your testing
assuming 200gram tabs each tab increases cya by 2ppm

PoolMath will calculate exactly how much CYA each 8oz trichlor tablet will add.

Also we highly never suggest you put the acidic tablets in skimmers.

8oz triclor raises FC 2 ppm and cya 1.3 ppm and 1.8 ppm salt

One 128 oz jug of 6% bleach will raise FC by 2.4 ppm and salt by 4 ppm
