I been running my pump 24/7 on low speed. My salt level is about 3100 and my fc is 16 ppm according to my Taylor kit. I bought a new salt cell last year so fairly new. I’m thinking about turning the pump off for about6 hours every night. oh Yeah my output setting on swg is 30 percent. Thoughts…….

E,

You can either turn your pump off for x hours or adjust the % of output down to match the amount of chlorine your pool is using each day.

There is no requirement to run 24/7... except you never want the cell to have power if the pump is not running.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Is your pump a Variable Speed Pump or single speed? If Single speed I would run it 8 hours a day and turn the SWG to about 50%. Otherwise, run it 24 hours a day at low speed and drop the SWG to 15%
