Thanks for all the help. Wanted to give an update on the final results.
Tried the "light test". Couldn't see any turbidity.
Upped the FC to about 15 ppm for a couple of days. I turned the generator back to 10% and I'm very slowly seeing the FC start to come down. I like to hold it at 3-5 ppm so I'll be curious to see if the 10% setting will hold it there like it did last summer.
Thanks again for all the ideas and suggestions. Every time I start to get freaked out about something having to do with the pool I know I can always get a dose of solid science & good common sense right here!
