Looking to replace Liquidator with SWG.

need advice on placement of SWG and flow Switch along the plumbing.

considering the CircuPool RJ Series. 30 or 45

Pool size is roughly 16K gallons.

Thanks for the photo of the equipment pad. Can you post another photo that is tighter on the return plumbing after the filter.
You want the SWCG to be placed before the 3-way valve that diverts between the Pool returns and the Spa returns. This allows the SWCG to operate in either mode.
It is recommended to go 2x pool volume so the RJ 45+ as a minimum and consider upgrading to the RJ 60+
There is conflict in the pool volume - you state 16k gals but your signatures indicates 22k gals.
 
I'd go 4X in a a warm climate. Not only is your UV demand high, the season is looooooooong. You go though considerably more LC than we do up north and still need the same FC per season.

While a 1x or 2X will do the job, all those extra hours producing FC deplete lifespan. Going larger costs a fraction of the replacement cell of the upgrade size so the ROI is hardcore in your favor.

Thanks for the reply. This pool is a friend's pool. 16k is the correct size and vinyl liner instead of plaster. will get a tighter shot today.
