A month or two ago my water got cloudy and my Jandy Aquapure SWG was giving me error codes (125, and 194) so I cleaned it and everything worked fine. Then, a few weeks later I got the same error codes and re-cleaned it but I still had the problem. The cell panel also read "Service". I figured the 4 year old cell was dead, so I switched to chlorine granules and chlorine pucks and turned the cell down to 30% from 70% and bought a replacement cell.
A week and a half ago I checked everything and my FC was very high - 25! (not 2.5) and the cell appeared to be functioning normally, (no error codes, no "service" message). I didn't add anymore chlorine and left the cell at 30%. I checked it again last night and the FC was down to 18 and the pH was up to 7.2 from 6.8 on Saturday. All of this suggests to me that the cell is producing chlorine again.
Does anyone have any idea what happened here? It was not working and gave me error codes at 70% but a few weeks later it seems to be working at 30% with no cleaning in between.
More info can be found below in these older threads, but the gist of my reborn SWG is above.
