Hello! I want to buy a submersible pump to keep my inground pool from over filling in the winter. I want it to work automatically so that it will keep the level down even if I'm traveling. I just had the pool installed this summer and the mesh cover will be installed in a few weeks. I tried searching various key words but couldn't find this situation listed.

You want a submersible pump with a float switch. Your challenge will be where to place it in the pool so that the float switch turns the pump on and off at the right levels.
Also don't place the pump directly on the pool surface. The pump can rust and stain the pool. Elevate the pump above the pool surface on a plastic bucket or some blocks.
