hey all, hoping someone can help me. my heater above will go hot for a few seconds and then make a puffing noise about 5 or 6 times of air and goes cold. i am experiencing this when i am standing next to it with my hand over the exhaust. i opened it up, wiring looks good, no damage from mice or debris. i'm wondering if it is the igniter? perhaps it is not staying lit the entire time? i'm not sure how they work honestly, i'm very new this to this propane heater as it came with the house, thank you!

Definitely check the igniter.
The igniter does not stay lit the entire time. The igniter becomes the flame sensor once the burners are lit.
The Max-E-Therm is the same heater internally as the MasterTemp.

ahhh ok, that makes sense. its definitely shutting down the flame after a few seconds probably b/c it cant detect it. new one has been ordered, i'll report back, thank you!
