Hey all,

We have a fiberglass spa with 4 jets and our pool house is about 60' away and slightly uphill. Last night our spa blower fell over. You can see in the pics that it melted the PVC and bent then fell over. It's a 2hp blower. All my research says it should only be 1hp. It also blew the water over the spa edge and my PB said that was normal. It's not. Any thoughts?

Welcome to TFP.

The spa blower should not be on an unsupported PVC pipe. The blower must be supported by a 2x4 or steel rod running from the blower into the ground. PVC pipe is not strong enough to hold the spa blower vertical unsupported.

What model spa blower is it?

The Jandy blower Installation Manual has a worksheet to determine the proper blower HP.

You can vent the blower line to reduce its power as described in Spa Air Blower - Further Reading
