Everybody is blaming everybody else for power issues. Read about Texas breaking ties with a fed program in 1930 and that’s the cause. My reply was if it worked for 90 years why change it
Lowest temp was -4° and we didn’t get to 20° for several days. Power cycled off and on roughly every hour for 3 days, but no extended outages. Somehow, everything seems to have survived. I covered my equipment with 2 tarp layers, hoping to trap some heat generated by the pump motor. I haven’t tried my cleaner pump yet, but at least it’s not leaking. The last time we had a real cold blast, I had filter grids freeze and break. I just replaced all grids this past summer, so I hope those survived.
On a lighter note, instead of alien crop circles, we did have the unique experience of pool nipples.
