I posted a generic question before in another section of TFP and had lots of help, then I found this one. I'm relatively new to the TFP method and it saved our pool(first time pool owners). It is, however, difficult for me at times with my work schedule being so unpredictable at times. Keeping enough fresh bleach on hand among other things. Then the testing every other day minimum. With the weather in SW Louisiana, I have to be on it immediately or one step ahead always. I'm planning on going to a SWG to help add a little buffer for me if I fall behind on a dose of bleach when a shift at work never ends.
My big question is if there are ones to stay away from specifically.
I was first looking at the Hayward system, but have heard a lot of potential problems in the control board/box? Not sure how much truth there is to that, or if it's still an issue anymore.
Circupool was another system I have been looking at, but can't find too much on them other than it's believed that they are components from Compupool. Some people seem to be pleased and others not so much, especially if warranty issues arise.
I'm not currently leaning in any one direction right now as I don't have any first hand experience with SWG pools. The two brands I listed above are just two of the MANY that I've seen and not necessarily first picks, just random. Everyone I know who had one does not have a pool anymore. Reliability is first and foremost, and then cost for me. I feel I have a good idea on size I'm shopping for (40k min-60k), but picking which system is the hard part right now. Any opinions, good, bad or otherwise would help me greatly.
Thank you in advance.
