Hi everyone,
So after building my pool last year (32x18, 20k gallons) I am looking into solar panels to save on gas bill.
I have enough roof space with good exposure and have been looking at various panels. My plumbing is 2’’ and the 2’’ headers panels available on the market are pricey. In parallel, I have been watching videos of DIY panels using PEX or black poly pipes.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with both as it seems the DIY solution could be more efficient using the same square footage on the roof and would not reduce the flow rate if plumbed correctly. A DIY solution would also be easier to repair than regular panels.
Would appreciate any insight.
Thanks.
