kolat2022 here new pool owner in central Florida ,interested in adding solar heat to our pool that is also heated with electric heat pump currently.Looking for guidance. Its more about more about augmenting the heat pump in the shoulders seasons than saving money. we like the pool between 88-90 degrees

Much like heat pumps, solar panels will also lose efficiency with lower air temperatures so they may not be the best solution but it depends on the air temperatures.
What do you consider the shoulder seasons and what would be the typical air temperatures?
Is the heat pump not keeping up with the heat loss during this time?
Are you currently using a solar cover? If not, why not?
