Solar heater Aqualink setup

We are new pool owners, first time starting up solar heater by ourselves. We have Aqualink automated system. Under My Devices we have added Temp 1 & Temp 2 set along with Solar Heater. Whenever Solar Heater is heating, Temp 1 always reverts to standby mode, even though the water temperature hasn’t reached the set temperature. If I turn off Solar Heater, then Temp 1 reverts back to Heating. Wondering if Solar Heater and Temp 1 are working against each other.
Anyone familiar with Aqualink that can shed light on this issue?

Aqualink prioritizes solar over Temp1 and Temp2 which would be gas or electric. I believe it is doing what it is supposed to do. I think if you raised Temp2 enough it would override the solar and kick the heater on. I see you have it set very low. That is why when you turn Temp2 off Temp1 kicks on. The differential is too great for solar to make up.

Temp2 is not used. We don’t have a spa and the only heater is solar. I’m just confused if both Solar Heater AND Temp 1 work together or independently.

Ah ok well what happens if you just turn those off? Those being on assumes you have a gas or electric heater.
