Solar blanket question

Should be just fine. I have mine cut in sections and there’s a few open areas. Doesn’t make a difference to me

Here’s what mine look like. I cut the cover on the seems and used 2 leftover pieces for the attached spa.

A solar blanket doesn't have to be a tight seal to the walls -- it's basically preventing evaporation from the surface at night, so if it covers 95% of the surface you get 95% of the benefit.

I have an extra section for the steps (my pool is kind of an arrow shape so it comes from the scrap). I put it on in the shoulder season when I want to eek out every degree possible, but don't bother most of the summer.
