SLAMing a SWG pool

Just a follow up on this. Their salt cell is not working at all. The salt light is on - salt level is fine and the cell looks clean. They had called a pool person in when they first bought the house in September to try and get the pool sorted out. This guy took out the salt cells - according to my neighbour they were covered in limescale. The pool guy cleaned them using undiluted muriatic acid and put them back in. Obviously that didn't do the trick because the salt cell is still not working. Anyway, they have home-owner's insurance and I'm guessing they should be able to claim a new salt cell on that?
