I purchased a lot of shock and it seems the humidity has gotten to the packages. The box that comes with it is crumbling and the individual 1lb packs are stuck to each other and a pain to separate with the risk of ripping open the shock.. So how are you guys storing this in hot humid climates. I thinking of buying some air tight food storage and emptying out the shock in them and then use measuring scoop to use until I get rid of all of it.

Keep them inside or at least in the shade.

Sparky,

If you are adding 'shock' to your pool, you are certainly not following the TFP pool care process.

I have not used any bags of shock for over 10 years. If you keep your FC and CYA where they need to be, you never need to add shock to your pool.

Thanks,

Jim R.

If it's a 'multi use' product (5 in 1 pool shock, etc) or has Blue or Extra Blue in the name, it likely has copper.
