Scale removal on Slide

Hi all,

I maintain my pool throughout the year because I use my hot tub frequently. I guess I let my pH get a little high and have gotten some scale spots on my gunite slide.

Any tips on removing this? Assuming muriatic acid and a scrub brush would be too aggressive on the slide finish.

I am no expert but have you tried Pool Blok. It is a pumice block.

I think the pumice stone would remove the finish that is on the slide. It is essentially just painted gunite.

Acid and a soft brush won't do anything to the paint. Give it a shot
